Fengel Horsehorn

Herein lies the tales and conquest of Fengel Horsehorn .

First account of Fengel

Fengel Horsehorn, second son of Eorl the Swordmaster. He was born before the title was granted to his father, he grew up on a farm in the Westfold. There was little excitement in those days except for when Gram the Geezer, his uncle, would visit. Gram was an odd fellow, but he did serve his years fatefully in service of his king. Gram was for the most part a messenger for the army, he did inspections and would call up the lords whenever the king requested it. At the age of five Fengel would witness the first of a series of tragic accidents occur, while looking for his wood sword which was a gift from Gram he stumbled across his mothers trampled corpse. His mother had been found trampeld after being fucked to death by one of the family's horses. From this point until the times recounted in the Lord of the Rings his family would be called WhoreDeHorn instead of Horsehorn, but if this was ever brought up in front of Aldor grandfather of Fengel they would receive an arrow across the face. Fengel who was justifiably angry at the situation accidently killed his friend Thengal when he insulted his mother. After that Thengal’s father, Goldtor the blacksmith, stabbed Fengel with a branding iron on the leg. This ended with 3 dead men and 1 arrow missing from its quiver. After this Fengel was sent with his uncle Gram where he lived on the road training in all forms of combat.

During this time Fengel developed a certain hatred toward the people of Dunland. In his 10th year his uncle and himself were ambushed by a Dunlanding party where he slew 7 men and 2 women with his axe. In his 11 year he reunited with his family in Edoras, where they had relocated due to the increasing Dunlanding raids. In his 12th year against his fathers wishes he wrote out to battle and fought in the first battle of the Fords Of Isen. In this battle his father was slain as well as his prince; ever since this battle Fengel would hold a hatred for Elfhelm who had failed to join the battle.

Later in that same year he would ride with the king to the fortress of the Hornburg, where he would meet his enemy at Helm’s Dike before falling back to the main fortress where he fought with his grandfather and his brother. He would write the following in his diary, “Dark was the night and the rain relentless, Thunderous footsteps sounded in the deep. Yet we stood without fear nor discomfort. So many of them with one goal in their mind, To kill Rohan, Ha I laugh at the thought. Foolish of them. As long as I stand no foul beast shall last the night. I remember the ford of Isen and the humiliating defeat there, never again, Never AGAIN! That was the only thought on my mind as the thousands of Uruk-hai descended onto Helm’s deep! I was on the Deeping wall closer to the keep, I was ready for a fight, I was ready for revenge.’’ After the battle he would meet Erkenbrand which he would come to admire with great respect. Fengel would go on to fight at the battle of the Pelennor fields in which his oldest brother died, and then to the Battle of The Black Gate. He would then return to the Hornburg in which he would fulfill his oath to his king. He would later be called up to fight in the wars to the east where he currently is to this day.
